NaPodPoMo Day 28 … Some days are just routine and the main item on the agenda is getting the car serviced before hitting the road again. Question? Do you still take the time to service your own vehicle or have you resigned yourself to the fact that the money is less than the cost of the time?

Welcome to The Magnum Life

My fascination with cars goes back to seeing my 1st 1957 Thunderbird in the tall grass behind the tomato grower's greenhouse. There was no For Sale sign on it, but I took Dad to see it anyway. We waded through head-high weeds farther than I remembered, but it was there. Faded red paint and a really bad interior, 312ci V8 and floor shifter. It was love at second sight.

Dad gave me Mom's green Ford station wagon.
